Lunchtime Concert – St Paul’s Cathedral, June 2012
Extract from The Courier & Advertiser

“Close four-part a cappella harmony is one of the most enjoyable yet demanding forms of music around, writes Garry Fraser.
If you add eager delivery, keen interpretation and a captivating vitality, the enjoyment transfers to the audience in a flash.
That sums up the lunchtime concert on Saturday in St Paul’s Cathedral by Hillfoot Harmony, a ladies’ barbershop group that puts a touch of glamour and glitz to this musical genre.
The diction was crystal clear and Catherine MacDonald’s enthusiastic direction ensured everyone was on the ball when it came to expressive delivery with a great mix of songs from Moon River (this was particularly good) to Tuxedo Junction and Zing Went the Strings of My Heart.
Good Time Barbershop was their opening number, as good a signature tune as you are going to get for this talented ensemble.”
